Okay, maybe some of you like those pencil leg skinny jeans, you know the ones who show every womanly curve you posess whether you like it or not. Did I even spell whether right? There’s no spell check on this thing. Anyways, props to you if you like them and have no curves to squeeze into them. Me on the other hand, I have curves, and lots of them…they just happen to be in the wrong place.
My husband may think my ghetto booty is cute, but somehow the size 4’s I see all over the TV look a bit more appealing to me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating the skin and bones look, but if my thighs could be slimmer, by tummy tighter and my boobs didn’t have the flat and nursed 4 kids look, that would be fantastic. I’d even be pleased to comfortably wear a size 8-10. I’d like to go to the pool in my swimming suit and not be embarrassed that my legs rub raw together and my belly bulges.
So, for Mother’s Day I asked for the Nike+. It’s a device that plugs into your iPod and tracks things like distance, calories, etc. Since the low-carb diets just don’t work for me,
I thought if I skipped sugar, lowered my portion and logged in 20+ miles of walking and jogging a week I might slim down and get some hot legs. My husband, the good husband he is, thought hot legs was a great idea to get me for Mother’s Day.
So, my Nike+ is all ready to go and to start my ‘diet’ I broke down and had chocolate covered toffee for breakfast. Crap. I guess I’ll start the no sugar part tomorrow.
I will be starting a link this week to track my miles. My goal is 200 miles in 2 months. If you’d like to join in, let me know and I’ll post your weekly miles too.
And….as promised, there will be a load of prizes this week to celebrate getting back in the swing of things. I’m not sure if I’m settled after being Mommy, Interrupted since I’m still catching up on laundry and the scrubbing of my house and getting the kids back on schedule. Wait, maybe I am settled, that’s what I ALWAYS am doing!
The first prize is in honor of getting my kids to pitch in around the house and National Scrapbook Month, which we’ll talk about tomorrow. We’ve been using these chore charts for a while and they are stinking dang cute! One kit makes 2-4 chore charts. If you want to win one, post a reply below mentioning a way you get physical exercise during the day WITH A HOUSE FULL OF KIDS.
Spread the word, if there are more than 30 participants, there will be 2 kits up for grabs.
